VXPLib Version 1.01 and on for MS-Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP On 31/05/2003 we released version of VXPLib that can successfully run on any version of MS-Windows. The previous restriction of running on only Windows 2000/XP was imposed by the fact that the component was written as 100% unicode, thus requiring a unicode version of Windows. Windows NT4 wasn't supported because of being obsolete. The new version was built using Microsoft's recent solution called MSLU - Microsoft Layer for Unicode on Windows 95/98/ME. When running on Windows NT4/2000/XP the new version will be using OS natural unicode support. When running on Windows 95/98/Me the component will require a unicode layer to be available on those OS. The unicode layer is provided simply by having file unicows.dll placed in the Windows System directory. This file is distributed by Microsoft, and provides a platform for running unicode applications and components on non-unicode operational systems such as Windows 95/98/Me. To download unicows.dll click on one of the links in the table below: Alternatively, you can visit Microsoft download page for MSLU to check for the latest updates and downloads.
